- Additional AT&T services:
- Ask the customer, Do you currently have any other AT&T services like Internet, U-verse TV, DIRECTV, or AT&T Home Phone at your current address?
- If yes, add the services and account number, if possible, in the notes section.
- If the customer has existing U-verse TV, DIRECTV or AT&T TV, refer the customer to 877-981-9709.
- Avoid using alternate shipping:
- If shipping address is different from the billing address, write an explanation of why the shipment is being made to this different address in the notes section.
- Avoid PO boxes:
- Avoid using PO boxes for billing address or shipping address (PO box is not allowed for shipping).
- Avoid third-party form of payment:
- Check to see if the form of payment used by the customer belongs to the customer. Avoid accepting third-party forms or payment (name of card holder is not name of customer).
- If the customer insists on using a third-party credit card, write a detailed note describing the situation and why the third-party card is being used.
- Do not use pre paid credit cards
- Do not use a fake/dummy email address for setup:
- Customer email is required for order confirmation, communications and accessing AT&T TV service.
- Remember, Fake email = Failed Access!
- Never use a fake email address to bypass user ID creation
- Ensure a problem-free experience for the customer:
- Having the customer ensure they are able to sign in is the best customer experience and can lead to lower chargebacks!
- The customer can do this immediately via the Welcome Email, the AT&T TV App or myAT&T.
